Logston joins Hanson Professional Services Inc.

DALLAS—Gary D. Logston, AICP, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Dallas regional office.
With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Logston serves as a senior aviation planner.

He specializes in providing project management and administration for all aspects of airport planning and environmental studies, including airport master planning, air carrier site selection studies, state airport system planning, airport financial planning, airport land-use planning, and capacity studies. His administrative experience includes working on projects that are part of multi-billion-dollar capital improvement programs.

His previous project work encompasses a variety of commercial airport facilities. These include the Houston Airport System, Orlando International Airport, Anchorage International Airport, Tennessee Airport System, Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport in Montréal, O’Hare International Airport and the South Suburban Airport in Chicago. Additionally, he has been active in military-related and overseas aviation projects.

Logston is a charter member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and he is active in the American Planning Association. He also is a respected speaker in the aviation-planning industry, speaking on topics such as the “Future Airport Demand from an Increasing U.S. Population” and the “Economics of Intangible Benefits of an Airport.”

He has a bachelor’s degree in regional planning (1973) from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s degree in planning (1975) from the University of Tennessee.
