Col.
Murphy to present at SAME Illini Post meeting
SPRINGFIELD,
IL – Col. Robert Murphy, commander of the Illinois Air National
Guard (ILANG) 183rd Fighter Wing in Springfield, Ill., will present
information regarding mobilization efforts and the planned return
of the 183rd Fighter Wing on Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at 4 p.m. at
Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Springfield, Ill. The presentation
will be part of the Illini Post meeting for the Society of American
Military Engineers (SAME). Base civil engineer for the ILANG 183rd
Fighter Wing, Lt. Col. Jim Lund, will also attend the presentation.
In
addition, Gary Clack, a structural engineer for Hanson, will discuss
the newly designed 183rd composite facility and address issues involving
anti-terrorism and force protection. Hanson completed the final
design for the building, which now meets all U.S. Department of
Defense standards for anti-terrorism and force protection. A rendering
of the completed facility will be available for viewing at the meeting.
