Hanson in Top 500 for 20th year

Hanson was named to Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine’s list of Top 500 Design Firms for 2007. This marks the 20th consecutive year the firm has ranked in the Top 500. Hanson came in at No. 202 on the national list, up from last year’s ranking of No. 216. ENR ranked companies according to revenue generated in 2006.

Aviation resources expand

MEA Group, Inc., a Sarasota, Fla.-based firm with 29 employees recently joined Hanson. MEA’s experience in aviation planning, design and construction expands Hanson’s capabilities.

MEA Group, founded in 1991, has provided aviation planning services in 24 states. The MEA acquisition increases Hanson’s presence nationwide to include locations in Lakewood Ranch, West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Germantown, Md.; and Richmond, Va.

Airports recognized

The Mount Vernon Outland Airport, the Havana Regional Airport and the St. Louis Regional Airport were named 2007 airports of the year by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics. These awards, presented at the 2007 Illinois Aviation Conference, are based on safety, convenience and service to the community the airports serve. Hanson provides airport planning and engineering for these award-winning airports.
