As employee-owners at Hanson, we understand that the choices we make today have a direct bearing on the quality of life our children will enjoy in the future. That’s why we’re committed to making our world a better place through sustainability and green initiatives.
We’re proud to be a corporate member of the U.S. Green Building Council — the leading organization dedicated to expanding green building practices through its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System. We know the LEED standards and integrate them into our practices as often as possible.
Hanson’s LEED Accredited Professionals are involved in a number of LEED-certified or certifiable projects. In addition, we conduct regular internal meetings so that we’re keeping up with the ever-evolving LEED standards.
In our offices, we do what we can to support the environment. We recycle, use energy-efficient fluorescent fixtures and print our collateral materials on recycled paper. Also, we look for opportunities to make our neighborhoods cleaner and greener, contributing to sustainable community initiatives when possible.
Environmental stewardship is an ongoing pursuit, and there’s always more we can do. That’s why we remain committed to it, striving for excellence for our clients, employees and the world.
