While Hanson maintains offices across the U.S., we also provide international consulting services. We’ve completed projects in more than 40 foreign countries, serving North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Antarctica.
Here are a few examples of projects we have completed in countries around the world.
Worldwide locations – broadcasting stations
We have participated in the design, construction and commissioning of relay, transfer and broadcast stations in locations such as Afghanistan, Serbia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Tinian Island in the South Pacific, and the Democratic Republic of São Tomé in West Africa.
Nigeria – aviation project
Among the many airport projects in our portfolio is the Akwa Ibom International Airport in Uyo, Nigeria, where our services included planning, consulting and an environmental impact assessment.
Equatorial Guinea – industrial projects
We have provided geotechnical analysis and other services to assist with large-scale energy and industrial projects in Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, and Bonny Island, Nigeria.
Dominican Republic – hydroelectric dams
Our dam engineering capabilities have earned us international recognition. Among the projects we have completed are four hydroelectric dams for the National Institute for Hydraulic Research in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Canada – railway project
In preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Hanson designed a new siding track so that an additional passenger train would not impact freight traffic.
