Company History
In 1954, Walter E. Hanson founded the company in Springfield, Ill. 

The firm’s name has changed throughout the years. Past firm names include W.E. Hanson and Associates (1954-1956); Hanson, Collins and Rice (1956-1961); Walter E. Hanson and Co. (1961-1972); Hanson Engineers Inc. (1972-2001) and Hanson Professional Services Inc. (2001-present).
